Why did you choose UW-Marathon County? I like the small class sizes and the low cost of tuition.

What surprised you the most about UW-Marathon County when you arrived on campus? I was surprised by how friendly the professors are and by all of the different ways students can get involved on campus.

Why did you choose your program/major? I love helping people. Nursing is something I've wanted to do since my freshman year in high school.

What are you learning about your career field that you find interesting or rewarding? Nursing not only helps individuals become healthier, but it has an impact on the community too.

In addition to being a college student, what takes up your free time? I work in the Solution Center and for the athletics department. I also love working out and sleeping.

Who has been your favorite professor or staff member? Darla Zastrow has been one of my favorite professors so far. She is funny and really makes biology lab an enjoyable class to attend. She truly wants all her students to succeed.

What do you plan to do after UW-Marathon County? I plan to transfer to UW-Eau Claire for their nursing program.

What is one piece of advice you have for incoming UW-Marathon County students? Get involved! Join a club or a team. Also, take advantage of all the resources offered here. We have tutors, writing labs, study groups and great advisors who can help you be more successful with your classes.
