International Students in Chicago

International students call Marathon Hall home during their studies at UW-Marathon County. Each student is placed with an American roommate that has committed to living with an international student. This will ease the transition of living in a new country! Each hallway has a Community Assistant (CA) to help each student with questions, issues or concerns. The CA’s also host activities and events for the hall!

Marathon Hall is run by the Residence Hall Advisor, who lives on campus. Kitchen facilities are available along with a quiet study lounge, TV lounge, computer area and pool table room. Marathon Hall is located across the street from the campus buildings and classrooms, which means less hassle in getting to where you need to go.

Adjusting to life in a new town, a new college and with new people can be a challenge! This is especially true if you are coming from another country.

Every semester, new international students are provided with an extensive orientation to our campus and community. Our customized orientation will help you move into student housing, open a bank account and provide you with opportunities to meet new friends, future classmates, academic advisors and instructors.
