The library provides many services to its patrons. The library's website includes Search @ UW which searches for a variety of resources within the entire UW System. It also has over 100 subscription databases that contain millions of articles availble freely for students and staff. The UWMC Library staff is here to help you navigate these resources to find the materials you need.
UWMC students and staff can borrow materials not held by the library from other UW libraries through interlibrary loan. Materials usually arrive within one week. Loan periods vary depending on the owning library. You can place a request for an item through this Interlibrary Loan Request Form or please ask a librarian for any assistance.
The library's computer lab consists of 33 PCs (Windows OS) and is the only open lab on campus. Computers are available to students, faculty, staff, and community members. There are a number of programs available including Microsoft Office, and printing is available in black and white and color for varying costs.
Books circulate for 4 weeks, periodicals for 2 weeks. CDs and DVDs also circulate for 2 weeks. Renewals are generally permitted and encouraged as necessary. For more information, see the Circulation policies at the Circulation & Fee Policy webpage.
