UW-Marathon County Continuing Education, in conjunction with the Marathon County Historical Society, will present, "The Ice Ages in Wisconsin" at the Marathon Village Hall, 311 Walnut St., Marathon City.
Dr. Keith Montgomery will outline the Ice Age in Wisconsin and its effects on our landscape and resources. He will also discuss Ice Ages in general, including the causes of such climates. As contemporary scientists wrestle with climate issues, Montgomery will set recent changes in atmospheric composition into the context of longer-term climate shifts.
There is no admission fee; however, donations are appreciated. Registration is not required.
