Are you interested in having a deeper connection with nature through harvesting your own food? This hunter education course instills in students the knowledge and skills to be responsible, safe hunters and promotes ethical use of the environment and our resources. Anyone born on or after Jan. 1, 1973, must complete a hunter education course to purchase a hunting license in Wisconsin. This is a hybrid course that combines some internet coursework with 12 hours of hands-on, in person lessons, including a field day with an opportunity to shoot both rifles and shotguns. Student additionally need to enroll with the Wisconsin DNR website, https://dnr.wi.gov/education/outdoorskills/safetyeducation.html. Additional DNR fees for on-line portion and registration are payable directly to the DNR.
