By Wisconsin law and strong tradition, governance of the various institutions of the University of Wisconsin is shared by administrators, faculty, staff and students. For the thirteen campuses (one of which is UW-Marathon County) that make up the University of Wisconsin Colleges, the chief governance body for each campus is the Collegium.

This section of the UWMC website contains recent documents related to this shared governance structure. All of these by State law are public documents. If anyone is attempting to find a specific document and is unable, please notify the Dean's office by emailing or or by calling 715-261-6221.

Statutes governing the University of Wisconsin System can be viewed at the Wisconsin Legislature site (Chapter 36).

Regulations and policies of the University of Wisconsin Board of Regents can be accessed at the University of Wisconsin System Administration website.

UWMC is a member college of the University of Wisconsin Colleges. The main governance body of the UW Colleges is the Senate. Policies of the Senate as well as administrative policies of the Chancellor can be seen by going to the UW Colleges website or by contacting the Chancellor's or Provost's office in Madison via that website.

Certain planning and activities on campus that are funded primarily through student fees are managed by the Student Government Association, which has its own Senate and policies.

The UW-Colleges Annual Security Reports include recent statistics concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus, in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by UW-Marathon County, and on public property within or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus. The report also includes institutional policies concerning campus security, such as policies concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault and other matters.
