The twelfth edition of MUSH, the University of Wisconsin-Marathon County’s (UWMC) literary magazine, will be available for purchase in early May. The 2014 edition features prose, poetry, creative non-fiction and a variety of art forms created by students, alumni, faculty and community members.
MUSH editors will be hosting a release party on May 5, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Terrace Room located in UWMC’s main academic building. Admission to the event is free for UWMC students and $2 for community members. Attendees will receive a free copy of the publication. After May 5, it will be available for purchase for $5.50 at two Wausau retailers: Hazel House and The Window Box.
“We received a record number of submissions this year,” reported Shawn Igers, managing editor. “After a lengthy process of blind judging, we are proud to have a magazine that represents a diverse group of artists and authors, including junior and senior citizens.”
