Why did you choose UW-Marathon County? I wasn’t sure what I wanted to major in. I was trying to decide between nursing and education. While trying to figure that out, this was the best and most affordable option for me.

What surprised you the most about UW-Marathon County? How small, comfortable and easy-going the classes and professors are. Professors get to know you by name and talk to you outside of class.

Why did you choose your program/major? My passion is working with kids, playing a small part in their lives and being a positive influence for them.

What are you learning about your career field that you find interesting or rewarding? Hearing stories from teachers and knowing how big of an impact you have on students and what differences you can make in their lives.

In addition to being a college student, what takes up your free time? Mostly working and hanging out with my friends.

What do you plan to do after UW-Marathon County? Transfer to UW-Stevens Point to become an early childhood education teacher.

What is one piece of advice you have for incoming UW-Marathon County students? Even if you do not live on campus, get involved! You will meet new people, make friends and enjoy school more.
