Specialty Camps
Grades 10-12*
(*grade level for
Fall 2009)
UWMC
is happy to have former Badger Captain and current Cardinal Stritch Head Coach Maria Carlini run two specialty camps for us this
summer.
Carlini was a four year starter with the Badgers as both an outside
hitter and middle blocker. She was regularly among the team
leaders in kills, digs, blocks and aces.
Advanced Hitter/Blocker Camp
Learn movement for both
blocking and attacking.
ATTACKING SECTION
Learn arm swing mechanics, how to generate more velocity, how to use
different shots to score and how to attack different defenses.
BLOCKING SECTION
Learn how to achieve greater block penetration and reduce a hitter's
chance of scoring with sound blocking mechanics.
Advanced Defensive/Libero/Serving Camp
DEFENSIVE SECTION
Become a strong defender!
Focus will be on the technical aspects of passing, serve receive and
defensive strategies with emphasis on reading the attackers arm, rolls,
and overhead defensive moves.
SERVING SECTION
Players will work on the floater, topspin,
jump serve and jump float, and learn
advantages and disadvantages of each.
Each camp will be small and intimate.
Registration will be capped at 12 to provide plenty of quality
reps for the benefit of each player.
FEE: $50 each camp
(players may sign up for both). |
